Brian Sullivan is a long-standing member of Local 537 since 1988 and spent the beginning of his career working for United Technologies Carrier. After eight years at Carrier, he transitioned to Siemens where he became the service manager for twelve years. While at Siemens, Brian launched their mechanical service department and made their Boston Branch the largest and most successful Siemens branch in the United States. After leaving Siemens in 2008, he established Universal Automation & Mechanical Services, Inc. and currently has over 35 employees from Local 537, Local 103, Local 51 as well as office and sales staff. More recently, Mr. Sullivan founded UA Management Services to broaden the scope of UA’s services by offering property management services and has since taken on capital projects in signature properties such as Whittier Place Condominium Trust in Boston, Hampton Place Condominiums Trust in Newton, One First Condominium in Cambridge and Nouvelle at Natick Condominium Trust in Natick.
Executive Vice President
Michelle began her career at Honeywell MICRO SWITCH in 1986. While at Honeywell, she earned her Bachelors degree in Business from Emmanuel College in Boston. Michelle was a Commercial Sales Engineer covering the New England territory for their Sensing and Control Products with a duel specialty in medical devices and HVAC products. Together with Brian she established Universal Automation & Mechanical Services, Inc. in 2008 and she serves as Sr. Vice President. Under her leadership, UA witnessed a phenomenal growth. Currently UA manages the maintenance of landmark properties such as the Natick Mall.
Attorney & Broker
Kevin holds a Juris Doctor and an M.A. in Economics. He has more than 20 years of experience as a Corporate and Tax Attorney. His broad expertise encompasses federal, state and international tax law. Due to his unique educational and professional background, Kevin is able to work closely with, and coordinate with, business executives, business advisors, insurance representatives, and other professional advisors to structure tax efficient strategies which do not adversely affect the day-to-day business operations of his corporate clients. Kevin began his career as a tax attorney with the Office of Chief Counsel of the Internal Revenue Service in Manhattan, New York. Following his tenure with the Internal Revenue Service, Kevin spent more than a decade as a Tax Partner with some of the largest and most prestigious law firms in the country, working in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Boston, Massachusetts.
Director of Property Management
Ahmed comes to UA Management Services with a career in property management that spans over the past eighteen years. He started his career in Atlanta, Georgia where he worked for some of the largest property management companies and developers. While in Atlanta, Ahmed specialized in managing properties under developer’s control and oversaw the associations transition to homeowners control. In 2008, he brought his experience to Boston where he managed luxury high rises. Ahmed brings us his experience in managing homeowners’ associations, high rises, townhouses and mixed-use facilities. His past licenses and designations included Community Association Manager (CAM), Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) and Association Management Specialist (AMS) in the state of GA. Ahmed has an undergraduate in business, an MBA from Kennesaw State University and a Real Estate License in Massachusetts. He is now leading the property management services for UA Management Services.
Mike holds a Master’s of Science degree from Northeastern University and has over thirty years operations experience in the Life Science and Diagnostic field where he had responsibilities for global manufacturing and facility operations. Mike brings our residential customers his experience in infrastructure maintenance and capital planning. Mike’s goal is to ensure that associations plan their long-term funding as accurately as possible to avoid special assessments and unplanned fee increases.
CPA: Director of Accounting
Donna holds a Bachelor's degree in business from Suffolk University and a Master’s of Taxation from Northeastern University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CPA). Donna has three years of public accounting experience, and more than twenty years of experience working for developers, real estate firms, corporate and property accounting. Donna supervises our team of accounts payable and accounts receivable. In addition, she supervises issuing the properties monthly financial statements.
Jonathan graduated from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in Finance and he has recently received his CPA. Before joining UA Management Services, he worked for Stannah, Inc. and International Data Group. Jonathan supervised the implementation of Yardi, the property management software, and he leads transitioning properties into Yardi as they join UAMS. Jonathan’s goal is to ensure the accuracy of the clients accounting information in our database.
Director of Operations
Derek’s tenure at UA goes back to the inception of the company. His experience in installing and managing mechanical systems in both residential and commercial can be seen at properties such as the Natick Mall, Nouvelle at Natick Condominium Trust in Natick and Whittier Place Condominium Trust in Boston.
Paul has over 30 years of experience in the HVAC industry and has worked for four manufacturers including Carrier, York, JCI and Invensys. He supervises field service technicians installing, repairing, and maintaining heating and air conditioning systems in commercial and industrial buildings. Paul oversees new hire employees and works to ensure employees acquire necessary training, licenses and certifications. In addition to scheduling and dispatching service technicians, Paul works directly with customers to insure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
